Boil a saucepan of water
Add cardamom pods that have been bashed up in pestle and mortar, cinnamon bark, a tiny amount of cloves and black peppercorns (also bashed up – if you want it really peppery, grind it properly)
Boil for about 15 minutes or until the water turns brown
Add regular tea bags, sugar and milk
Sieve the tea and enjoy
